WEST IN THE GROOVE Varsity Mixed Choir

West in the Groove 2019

About

West in the Groove (WIG) is comprised of 50 performers, ranging from sophomores to seniors, who take great pride in their musicianship, showmanship, and commitment. Along with show choir, WIG members balance a multitude of extra-curricular activities and Honors/AP courses at Millard West.  They strive to be exemplary leaders in their school, as well as in the show choir community.

Sometimes its hard to see how you fit in or how your piece fits into the puzzle. This is WIG's story.  Their set includes "All as One/Shattered to Pieces,""Pieces/Put Me Back Together," ballad “Pieces," "Colors/Rhythm Nation", and Together Medley, featuring "Together," "Back Together" and "In the Name of Love."

West in the Groove would like to thank all the parents who spend countless hours helping their show, including the "Dad Crew," "Backstage Moms" & "Costume Moms."  A special shoutout goes to their marvelous 15-member crew, and their outstanding 18-member show band, “Groovehouse,” under the guidance of Jordan Newhouse.  Arranged by Luke Furman and Brock Keiper, choreographed by Stephen Todd, and under the direction of Zack Bjornsen, WIG encourages you to to be a beautiful a piece in the world.  #BeKind
